it must be said. i am one hundred percent girl-crushing and in love with leandra medine- also well known as the man repeller. to clarify, this is not because i often dress like her. however, not only do i think she is halarious, but she is also completely herself all the time, always grinning, always enjoying and embracing the reality of the situation. she doesn't wear a ton of makeup, she wears funky jewelry, bright colors, crazy prints, many layers and puts on anything she wants and makes it look great. genius. like a (more sophisticated, haute couture- those clothes are not cheap, grown up version) of a 6 year old playing dress ups. but that is what fashion is… and it can be rather man repelling i suppose...how many times in the past have i been told a. your heels are too high b. you're overdressed or dressed strangely and c. please go change because i can't take you out like this (oh boy…literally)… i love clothing and pretty clothing, and sometimes weird clothing, and looking at clothing and buying clothing… i have a problem. i am not talented like leandra and unfortunately fashion houses, department stores and all of my favorite brands do not give me their newest season to wear around (seriously a shame) but man do i love clothes…
i have loved every collaboration she has done and pretty much want to be her friend…me and 11146 other followers…
don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to be creepy- i mean it in a big props, thumbs up, i look up to you/want to be you kind of way…is that still creepy? oh well…
today leandra posted a new years eve outfit and i could just no longer resist… there you have it…it's all out on the table.
