(((the malloys)))

surf films, to music videos, ads, photography, and documentaries... a taste of the malloy brothers.

i admire them because of the span of their work. they do it all and everything they do they do well. they work with interesting people, in interesting places and i have always been intriged by the life they must live to do what they do. the best quality of their work that i have found is on their website, so in fear of portraying something of poor quality, i will leave you to explore they work on your own… emmett and jack johnson have also started bushfire records, the albums of which are also shown on the website complete with some very cool album cover art…
check it out here.

i admire what these brothers have created and the "lifestyle" branding that encompasses their company. these people are as much their customers as they are their friends and family and it shows in their work. even when agencies hate the result, they insist on putting their spin on everything they create…when ads become art…

a few of my favorite photographs...

matt costa in london
alison mosshart- the dead weather in copenhage- huge girl crush

i hold great respect for both of these musicians-  jack white (also of the raconteurs and the white stripes) and alison mosshart (also of the kils)

The Railroad Revival Tour-

"Traveling exclusively in vintage rail cars, Emmett was with the bands as they journeyed across the American Southwest, playing at several outdoor locations. The action was just as much off the stage as it was on, with late night jam sessions in train compartments, impromptu performances from band members along the tracks for fans camped out at stations and even a mobile Easter service along the way."
